Kaoha nuiiiiiiiii!!!!

Kaoha nuiiiiiiiii!!!!

So when I thought we biked a lot last week we ended up biking even more this week, but likely our legs have gotten more and more used to it. We even decided to bike around the entire island and our kegs weren't as tired as we thought they would be, so that was a little tender miracle. We were also able to do a whole bunch of contacting and lessons this past week and didn't have too many fall through which was a blessing.

Highlights:

- Biked around the entire island and while doing so we stopped so often and got some sorbet and went looking around in various shops. It was also nice to do the island tour again just not going as fast because we weren't in a car this time

- Went on an exchange with an elder who just barely got into the mission and he is absolutely powerful. Elder Cruickshank has such a powerful strong testimony and is able to handle all types of situations and knows all his lessons pretty well which is impressive being that he's been in the field for only a month.

- We pulled up to this food truck place and I immediately saw the Goold Family which took me in when I was living on Bora Bora. They were sooooo nice and it was sooo good to catch up with them. They even ended up buying us all dessert before they left which was extremely thoughtful of them

- We biked all the way to the end of our sector only to have our lesson ghost 👻 👽 us which wasn't cool but we ended up going around and doing some contacting in the neighborhood and found another lady who was somewhat interested. We were able to schedule another lesson with her and we even found a member to come with us for our next lesson

- We went to see Rahere and we were able to do a little lesson with him. We got there and they pulled out chick-fil-a cups which was just hilarious to me because before they left on their trip we were hyping it up so much and they were just like "okay, don't worry, we'll go there". They decided we wouldn't believe them if they just said it so they brought us back some evidence as well

- Had a dinner appointment with some members and they started playing some American music such as country and Taylor swift, and some old things like "girls just wanna have fun" and Elder nally and I started singing along with the family as well. Turns out music really does connect people

- We were eating with another family and they started talking about alcatraz and Elder nally said that "there was no way the guys who broke out could've survived because there were so many ducks and they would've gotten eaten". We had been talking about ducks so much that it was in his head and instead of saying sharks, he said ducks and it made all of us laugh so hard.

- We started lessons with these two little girls who have been coming to church every now and then with their grandma

- It's been getting cooler and cooler lately since we are heading into the winter months and it feels so nice

Lowlights:

- I bought a two liter thing of ice cream and then finished it within that same week. I started including a bowl of ice cream for both breaks and lunch and it didn't last me too long

- The wind has been insane and has been providing for a good workout

Spiritual Thought:

I was studying faith the other day and came across a talk and something that I really like, it says, "Have faith in the Savior Jésus-Christ and not faith in the miracle you're looking to have". Our faith in Christ will always propel us forward in life. We should do / remember three things throughout our days:

1. Put Christ first in your life

2. Realize your eternal destiny

3. Focus on Joy

I know that if we focus on Christ we will be able to realize our divine and eternal potential and in doing so we will be able to find joy every day in our lives. Life is hard, and if it's hard it just means that there's a lesson we will be able to takeaway from that experience.
