Pretty good week here in Taharaa. We had transfer calls this past Saturday and I'm moving sectors. I'll be headed off to an Island called Nuku Hiva. Pretty sick because it's a 4 hour flight away from Tahiti and I think it's a 4x4 Hilux over there so it'll be a good time... doing The Lords work of course.  Highlights: - Had cake on seven or eight different occasions for my birthday. Didn't tell any of the members but they saw it on Facebook and throughout all off our dinner appointments they brought out cake and candles and I was just like oh no, not my stomach again... - Went on a mini split with Elder Brown and Elder Spencer because Elder Moriniere had to do this thing called My Plan or his plan for after the mission. We went in there sector and there was one point where they straight up left me in the dust running down a hill because they thought these Doberman dogs were after us. They had their Chaco's and Keens and I was Trina figure out how I could some...

Hoooooo Howzit my Palala's(my braddahs). Hit 10 months in the mission this past week and turned 20 today. Cherrrreh, first birthday in years where I'm not in the water surfing or sailing but still out here with my new ohana and even got to go see the sunrise at the beach this morning. Can't complain about not surfing though being blessed to serve in a beautiful place with wonderful people by my side. Highlights: - Had a lesson and then right after the lesson they fed us and then we went to our dinner appointment and we looked or maybe just felt like stuffed turkeys.  - Had to hike a quarter mile up in the mountains for this one lesson and dinner and when we finished we were walking down and before we reached the bottom I was just like, "Elder, we're not alone right now." Said a quick prayer felt a little better and as we reached the bottom there were these two sketchy guys blocking our car / the path. We're literally in the jungle and I was just like awwww...

Hooooo Howzit Brah???? It's been a pretty fun week, it absolutely flew by and a mayjah highlight has been teaching Elder Moriniere random Hawaiian words or Pidgin phrases. He's planning on going to BYU Hawaii after the mission and I was like no worries brah. Now you can hear him saying things like "She Go!!!" "Automatic Bu!!" "Bumbai" and "Dakine" "Cherrreh" to name a few different things.  Highlights: - We went to the Temple on Monday and it was pretty sick - Bought a Hoodie because it's been getting cold and Elder Moriniere buys the same one in a different color. There was a Hawaiian flag so I just had to get it. - They had this temple presentation on Friday and a few of our friends came. I got to see Elder Van , Elder Parau, and Elder Dennis as well as a whole bunch of other people. Gave Elder Van Drimmelen the longest hug, missed that guy. - We went to a lesson and one of our recent converts said a prayer to start our le...

Iaorana ia tatou, Pretty eventful week that flew by pretty fast. I swear I'm like oh man another week and then before I know it the weekend is here and the Aloha Friday song by Kimo Kahoano may or may not be playing in our house. Although we still gotta work the song does bring a lot of joy to the Elders in other elders in the house as well. We started off last week monday by eating with the Poroi family from Ahe one last time and they are literally the best family ever so so so kind and so sweet also it was fun to just talk about the ocean and joke around with them. Frère Poroi is a legend and I really hope I have the opportunity to serve on there island in the Tuamotu's. On Tuesday we had our emotional resilience class but it wasn't until after the class that we all truly felt emotionally resilient when Elder Winter brought out some Cinnamon Rolls he made. It's been soooo long, not really, but it's felt long because we used to eat it everyday on Bora because one o...
