Did he just bite me?!?!
Hoooooo Howzit my Palala's(my braddahs). Hit 10 months in the mission this past week and turned 20 today. Cherrrreh, first birthday in years where I'm not in the water surfing or sailing but still out here with my new ohana and even got to go see the sunrise at the beach this morning. Can't complain about not surfing though being blessed to serve in a beautiful place with wonderful people by my side.
Highlights:
- Had a lesson and then right after the lesson they fed us and then we went to our dinner appointment and we looked or maybe just felt like stuffed turkeys.
- Had to hike a quarter mile up in the mountains for this one lesson and dinner and when we finished we were walking down and before we reached the bottom I was just like, "Elder, we're not alone right now." Said a quick prayer felt a little better and as we reached the bottom there were these two sketchy guys blocking our car / the path. We're literally in the jungle and I was just like awwwww nooooo where's my knife when I need it. Flashed our flashlight at them and they saw that we were missionnaires and I guess they had a change of heart. They quickly moved there car and let us leave. Heavenly Father really does look our and watch over his children, especially those on his errand.
- Went to zone conference, and had an amazing time. Saw so many friends and had such a great time. President did his presentation in both French and English giving everyone the opportunity to speak and share their thoughts.
- Had dinner with our bishop the same day as Zone conference and had a sick dinner with a bunch of fish that he caught the day before and he gave us a whole fish to take back for lunch the next day.
- Went back to the house where my comp got pee'd on mid lesson. We didn't get pee'd on but while I was talking, the little boy decided I looked like a snack a decided to bite me. After his sister proceeded to wipe Nutella all over my back and I was just like oh boy this one's going in the journal. Walked back to our car and was like yeah Elder I'm not getting Nutella on our seats so I ended up taking of my shirt.
- Had district council and Elder Moriniere drew out the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Elder Ward thought it looked like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. Went to a food truck to eat and the person ended up giving our entrie district the food for free like whaaat.
- Had a lesson on Saturday and then went to this park where they had the Vodafone Channel Race and was able to score some racing jerseys.
Lowlights:
- Had our final Emotional Resilience class. Pretty sad that the class ended and that this Transfer is wrapping up because our district is sick and we became family. We even have the Senior couple Winter in our district and they're like our grandparents making us treats and cheering us up.
Spiritual Thought:
This past week I've been studying a lot about knowledge and the importance of gaining knowledge. In Proverbs 4:7 it reads, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
Seek for knowledge first and after you've acquired the knowledge seek for the understanding on how to use such knowledge appropriately.
