Cherrreh Brah

Hooooo Howzit Brah???? It's been a pretty fun week, it absolutely flew by and a mayjah highlight has been teaching Elder Moriniere random Hawaiian words or Pidgin phrases. He's planning on going to BYU Hawaii after the mission and I was like no worries brah. Now you can hear him saying things like "She Go!!!" "Automatic Bu!!" "Bumbai" and "Dakine" "Cherrreh" to name a few different things.

Highlights:

- We went to the Temple on Monday and it was pretty sick

- Bought a Hoodie because it's been getting cold and Elder Moriniere buys the same one in a different color. There was a Hawaiian flag so I just had to get it.

- They had this temple presentation on Friday and a few of our friends came. I got to see Elder Van , Elder Parau, and Elder Dennis as well as a whole bunch of other people. Gave Elder Van Drimmelen the longest hug, missed that guy.

- We went to a lesson and one of our recent converts said a prayer to start our lesson. That was huge because she never said a prayer during a lesson before and then we ended up teaching about the power of prayers and she was like I was going to ask you guys to do a lesson about that and she was like "How did you know?". Me and Elder Moriniere looked at each other and said, "Well, we said a prayer and this was the thought that came into our heads."

- We had another lesson later on in the day and as we were starting our lesson our friend led directly into the topic we planned to talk about, talk about inspiration from above.

- One of our friends stopped selling weed after three years of missionary lessons. That was unimaginable because during lessons 6-10 people would always come by to buy from him and now when people pass he's like I don't sell anymore.

- The other Elders in the house didn't have dinner a few nights and our dinner appointment either bought them food or gave us extra food so they ended up eating well.

Lowlights:

Not too much lowlights this week. We had food, we had work, and I had my best friend... my bed. Kept pur days busy and when we knocked out we knocked out hard and every morning I was just like noooooo it's already 6:30am.

- Hoooo, I finally found a workout that works out my traps and it's been a killer week. My traps have been hurting after the first day and I feel like I got back in after a good long surf sesh. A not so low-light just because it feels like I just got tetanus shots in my arms for the past few days.

Thought:

I have seen so much on the mission that the more a missionary knows the more they tend to over share. A friend doesn't need to know your entire life story nor do they care about your entire life story. What really matters to them is whatever you can offer them. It's also important to talk in the terms of the other person. Talk about what they like to do. If someone loves to paddling, talk about paddling. If another person loves bodyboarding talk about bodyboarding and how it relates to your message.

This past week we were fortunate enough to talk to people that loved paddling. In the canoe every person has their responsibility and as a whole the canoe goes forward. If one person is just a little off it can really throw off the groove of the entire canoe. You can't be too fast or too slow but just right. JUST RIGHT AH!!

By practicing and doing the small and simple things every day we can get into that rhythm so our canoe can glide through the water no matter which seat we are in.

Shooooots brah, catch ya later!!!
