Kaoha Nui!!!

Pretty good week here in Taharaa. We had transfer calls this past Saturday and I'm moving sectors. I'll be headed off to an Island called Nuku Hiva. Pretty sick because it's a 4 hour flight away from Tahiti and I think it's a 4x4 Hilux over there so it'll be a good time... doing The Lords work of course.

Highlights:

- Had cake on seven or eight different occasions for my birthday. Didn't tell any of the members but they saw it on Facebook and throughout all off our dinner appointments they brought out cake and candles and I was just like oh no, not my stomach again...

- Went on a mini split with Elder Brown and Elder Spencer because Elder Moriniere had to do this thing called My Plan or his plan for after the mission. We went in there sector and there was one point where they straight up left me in the dust running down a hill because they thought these Doberman dogs were after us. They had their Chaco's and Keens and I was Trina figure out how I could somehow stop these dogs if they got to me. Would I slap up with my Birkenstocks or would I try and hit them with the Book of Mormon in my hand. Luckily the dogs didn't get to us. Birds are still safe and so is The Book of Mormon

- We ate dinner at the beach with the other Elders in our house because there dinner was also dropped off and we were able to talk about stars, star lines, and traditional Polynesian Wayfinding and I was stoking and the other Elders were stoked to hear about it so it was a win win.

- I gained six pounds in one day during my split with Elder Spencer. I don't even know how we ate so much throughout the day but we got back home and I was like broooo my gut isn't going in and then I weighed myself and I was like whaaaat. The next morning I weighed myself and I was down two pounds so we're in the clear... kinda... for the most part.

- Went on a little Indiana Jones adventure to check out a tombstone that appeared un the Senior missionaries backyard and Elder Brown and Ward put on some pretty cool hats.

- Got a call from Yves and he was like Elder Ellis I got you that desert we were talking about last night. I also have a mahimahi shrimp pizza, Do you guys wanna go eat?" We said yes and we're absolutely stuffed right before our dinner appointment and then we ended up pounding so much food at the food trucks it was crazy.

Lowlights:

- Nothings a low-light if you find the joy in the every day things and parts in you life. Nahhhh there's definitely lowlights in life but luckily this week we weren't blessed with too many.

Spiritual Thought:

There is magic in words properly used. Good communication is a manifestation of love. Our Heavenly Father has asked that we communicate with him through prayer. Through prayer we can communicate lyrics freely with him. We can talk about our needs and desires. He already knows what we need but we just need to ask and he'll give freely... according to his will of course. I know that He lives, He loves and knows each one of his children, and that we all have the opportunity to live with him and the rest of our family again after this life.
