"You gotta talk with him.... He's the Boss"

Alohaaaa ko'u mau hoa!!!!

First off, Mahalo nui loa to each and everyone of you guys that have supported me throughout this time. Sorry, if I ever forgot to respond to an email you've sent, but just know I love you guys so much! I got a little over 4 months left in French Polynesia and I still think it's crazy I've been blessed to be amongst some of the greatest teachers!!!

We had a super packed week that just flew by. It was pretty funny because me and Elder Tingey were talking and we were just in awe because last Monday felt like "sooo long ago" not because time passed by slowly but because every day was just so packed and had it's different aspects to it. One of the craziest highlights was the amount of member support we got this past week. From people just calling to ask if they can come to lessons to coming and visiting people with us.

Highlights:

- We went to the temple and cruised around papeete last Monday. Pretty sick because I got to see some of the boiz I haven't seen in forever

- We had a lesson with a guy who liked surfing and we connected surfing pipeline and trusting in your equipment to faith and how we grow our faith by taking on things that might be a little scary at first. Sometimes we just have to take that drop, in order to feel the maximum joy. We talked about how it's the same with the book of mormon we need to read it, ponder about it and finally pray about it and through that we can recieve peace and happiness

- Tried finding a reference but we had no luck. So we started going door to door asking and then this one Mamie was just ignoring us and kept talking about us in Tahitian to some people next door. She made like she didn't speak french so we started talking to her in Tahitian and it caught her off guard. She came over and started speaking in perfect French 🤔

- We felt inspired to go into this one neighborhood and taught a guy we hadn't been able to get into contact with. Found a new friend and met a semi-active member who happened to be one of the first Bishop's on Moorea

- We found a waterfall while out contacting. We had a whole bunch of people we were trying to visit and we felt like we needed to find these two people to say we at least tried. Well we didn't finding them but we did find an inactive member who lives off the grid. We invited her to church and she said she'd come next Sunday!!!!!! After she was just like "Oh yeah, there's a waterfall right there". Soooo we did as anyone would do and walked a few more minutes to check it out 10/10 worth it

- We've gotten more references this past week then we got all this past transfer

- We were dying of laughter one morning because our whole house smelt like rotten eggs after Elder Tingey cracked open some eggs. Needless to say we opened all the doors and turned on the fans

- Usually Sundays kinda go out the door for missionary work because you have so much thigs that take up time but this past Sunday was soooo efficient. We had 5 lessons and 4 of them were with a member present. We also went to visit people with a member and found 3 new friends over the course of an hour like whaaaaat.

- A member came up to me and started saying how we need to be on time and do a whole bunch of things and then I was just like, "You gotta talk with him, he's the boss!". He then goes and says "Hey Boss, get over here!" Soooo from now on Elder Tingey is officially the "Boss Boss, big Boss"

Lowlights:

- We had a few lessons cancel on us this past week or ask to be moved to the following weeks... just gave us more time to go out and find other people.

- We had the little testimony meeting with all the leaving missionaries and it lowkey hit hard seeing sister missionaries who started after me finishing. Ouch.... that just means ENVOYONS!!!!!!! FULL SENDAHS, NO PRETENDAHS.... We'll keep sending it in the mission field till the day comes where I'll be sending it once again at Sandys and Point Panics with the boiz!

Spiritual thought:

3 Nephi 13:33-34, 33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof"

These were the two first scriptures I memorized during my training and have been the foundation for me throughout my mission. The one thing I know for sure is that I don't know everything but if I earnestly seek and place eternal life over all everything will fall in place. Once again I'm grateful for my mission and for the people I have been able to meet they will forever be in my heart and they have truly become family. Yesterday at church we had a visit from the Lamy family from Taharaa who came to say hello and it touched my heart. Yesterday evening we got a call from Brother Goold from my first sector over on Bora Bora. He started off with "Hooooo brah howzit, how you been". It was nice and has been nice to catch up with families that I've had the opportunity to serve throughout my mission.

I know Christ lives, this is his true church and that missionaries are never called to a place but rather the people there!
