Alohaaaaaa nui loa kakou,

This past week has been pretty chill. We started off by going and touring the Rotui factory (a juice and liquor factory here in Tahiti) and went around and just straight up acted like tourist in the other Elders sector. Transfer calls and transfer happened and me and Elder Tingey are staying together which is lit because that just means we get to grind some more together.

Highlights:

- Me and Elder Tingey are staying together in Haumi

- Our district councils have been lit and we got another spiritual Giant in the district now... Elder Green!

- Our members have been helping us like crazy with missionary work and are the literal definition of "If Can, Can". If they are available they are willing to help us out.

- We've had some pretty fire lessons and have been getting caught in the pouring rain a lot but it doesn't matter because we don't melt.

- We both wanted to try this pizza place after our dinner appointment got canceled and it was the biggest vibe ever.... at least for me. We heard some Kimie Miner, UB40, Honolulu City Lights, as well as some other Jawaiian stuff. Our server also came up to us with dreads and wearing a Bob Marley shirt.

- We were inspired to go see this one family as as we pulled up our bishop was singing a song with them and right about to leave. We stopped by and said hello, wished them well and then said we also wanted to share a song with them. The papie was so happy when he found out I was from Hawaii. We sang "Hawaii Aloha" together with him and his son and it was soooo powerful. We also sung "Aloha 'oe" ,  "Ulupalakua" , "Alekoki". Apparently the papies father would go to Hawaii a lot to record music and learned some Hawaiian songs while he was there and shared them with his family. That was definitely a major highlight from this past week.

- We were biking and saw the road in front of us was wet and it was like a clear line on the road but it didn't really look like it was pouring rain in that one area so we decided to chance it even though we had our rain jackets in our bags. It was a mistake because right after that we ended up getting soaking wet just a minute later. It was like going into battle seeing the enemy and decided we weren't going to pull out our swords to slay the dragon. Big mistake but also pretty funny because it was our fault.

- We had a lesson down by the dock and mid lesson our friend (a little boy) wanted to through something to his other friend in the water and Elder Tingey was like, "No, you gotta hand it to him". Well.... the boy decided the easiest thing was to just jump off the pier and swim to his friend and then climb back up to us. I never thought doing a lesson by the pier would be so interesting.

- We killed two centipedes in a matter of twenty ish minutes one night. It was raining so hard centipedes just started showing up in our house.

-Ohhh, and we also had a baptism around a month ago for one of our friends we put on date my first day on Moorea! I kept forgetting to mention it in previous emails.

Spiritual thought:

1 Nephi 16:29, "And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things."

Every big accomplishment starts off with little accomplishments. I've found that how your morning goes, is how your day will go. If you make your bed first thing in the morning you will have accomplished a little task and that will give you the boost of energy to start accomplishing the greater tasks of the day.
