The sickness attacks

Alohaaa!!!

Another week down in our super duper small sector. The sickness ended up getting worse and then transferred itself over to my comp who has been dying because of it this past week. But he's still down to go out and contact/make lessons happen so it's not too bad.

Last monday we went hiking with the district and had a pretty killer time because the sun was still covered by clouds on our way up and then when we finally got to the top everything cleared up and we had a nice view of Moorea. That evening we ate with one of the families in our ward and talked a lot about graffiti. It turns out that all the murals in the neighborhood have been done by one of the members in an effort to beautify and bring life back to the place and it's safe to say it's worked!

We saw a little miracle this past week while contacting. We went up this private drive and then walked right through this gate that's usually closed. We went and knocked on every single door in that apartment complex. It had to have been one of the funniest things ever because everyone would open their door and they were amazed at how we were standing there. We got through a gate and a locked door for the apartment complex. Heavenly Father truly does work miracles and knew how much we wanted to get into that area. After that he even prompted some guy to come and tell us the code for the gate! Now we can come and go freely and hopefully find someone wanting to hear our message.

The rest of the week was filled with lessons here and there as well as some good old contacting, eating with families and admiring the good old Tupac mural in our area.

A scripture that I've really liked this past week is in Moroni 7:33 "And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me." This little verse has been our driving force in our little section of Outumaoro. It constantly reminds us that no matter how tired or how sick we might feel we can always find the power to do the will and work of the Lord if we just have faith in Christ.

We are hoping the work starts to pick up again since the holiday season is over and everyone can get back to a normal routine.
