Have Faith!

Ka-ooooo-haaaaa nuiiiiiiiiii,

This past week had to have been one of the fastest but also longest weeks ever. It was only Wednesday and Elder Record was already so surprised at home much we had got done and kept thinking things we did just the day before actually happened a week before.

Highlights:

- We had a crazy amount of lessons this past week and 10 of them were with members present like whaaaaat!!!!

- Ate with members 6 times this past week, up from a solid 1 time the week before so that was nice

- We found five new friends!!!

- Had an amazing district council and talked about a talk called "The Faith to Baptize" and ended up connecting it to sailing and also to our own personal lives and how we can't just be content doing the things we're doing rather we need to push ourselves to be better and trust in the lord at the same time. We showed up to a lesson the next day and two of the boys there were like, "We want to get baptized and we already chose dates"... #FaithToBaptize . We then had a baptism for a girl we've been teaching. She was soooo excited and there were so many people there from her friends to family members and many many ward members as well.

- We had a little scare where we thought the baptism wasn't going to start on time because we got there and the baptismal font wasn't filled up... Turns out there was this thing on the outside we had to turn that closes the drainage pipe and once we did that the font filled up and the baptism went smoothly.

- Got asked by more ward members how we are able to get safe passage through all the drug dealers and we just told them the trick was for us to go up to them and just say hello!

- Went on a split with two legends, Elder Ward and Elder Stoddard. Taught a few lessons and had a great time. Forgot to take a picture but oh wellllll. It was pretty nice because that was the first split I've been on for roughly 5 1/2ish months since we couldn't do any in the Marquesis.

- Met people from the Marquesis every single day this past week which was pretty cool!

Lowlights:

- No car

- No bodysurfing, surfing, bodyboarding, paddling, or other ocean sports that I love to talk to the Tahitians about...

Spiritual Thought:

Moroni 7:33 "And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me."

"Vents favorables et mer suivants"

"Mata'i haumaru e moana mania"

"Fair winds and following seas"
