When it Rains, It Pours...

Iaorana to'u mau hoa,

A little recap of this past week. We'll, it's basically in the subject line, that's the recap. We did a little, what we thought was going to be a hike to a waterfall but it turned out to be a few minute walk on this path to a waterfall. Not that bad but we were hoping for a bit more exercise or at least me and my companion were looking forward to it.

Some highlights:

- Had a lesson / dinner appointment with one of our friends and at the end they started making crepes. I wasn't expecting it and neither was my companion but I ended up downing four after being pretty sure I couldn't eat anymore. They almost got me and Elder Neilson convinced to buy a Crepe pan and spatula and start making crepes for breakfast lunch and dinner at our house. We taught about faith and the trials that we face in our life.

- Lesson got canceled... because of the rain and work. It's weird for the most part when it rains here people cancel their lessons. We'll see that it starts to rain and then a few minutes later we'll get a call from our friends saying, Sorry Elder Ma I can't do a lesson today it's raining.

- Thursday was an on and off downpour throughout the entire day. We tried to visit a couple of our friends but they weren't home. We stopped by a members house and were able to help them with the food truck they are building. Not eating the food but building the truck hopefully the eating part will start while I'm still in the sector.

- Went to visit some members all over the place on Friday and one family gave us a reference. It was actually there granddaughters boyfriend. We started lessons with him and he even came to church this past Sunday which was huge.

- We didn't have any lessons planned on Saturday which was crazy because we always have at least one or two every so it kinda through off our groove. We did our studies in the morning and then went door to door talking to people and introducing ourselves. We found a few new friends and we even found some Jehovahs Witness' at the last house we made contact with. We started talking with them and they told us how much they loved America and the food places we have. At the end of our discussion we told them about Chick-Fil-A and the two guy's minds were blown and one guy was like, "I'm telling my wife about that tonight" and the other was like "I'm definitely taking my family there". I hope they'll love Chick-fil-A as much as I do.

Spiritual Thought:

In Alma 56:47 It says, "Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them."

May we go through this life like the 2000 Strippling Warriors who fought in The Book of Mormon. Doubt not and fear not for by our faith will we be delivered from every trial and tribulation and tempest the adversary might send our way.

Hope you guys have a nice sunny and dry week!
