Sun is Shinning, The Weather is Sweet...
Aloha kakahiaka ia Kakou,
The sun was shinning this week, but I don't know if the weather was sweet just like the Bob Marley song.
Had a split with Elder Constant on Tuesday and there was absolutely no dull moment with him. When we went to go pick him up he was cleaning their place like crazy because they were getting inspected. I told the other Elders in our house about the inspection going on and they started cleaning our house like crazy as well. Mmmmmm a clean house, there's nothing quite like it. We had a few lessons that day. One with this lady who was absolutely golden we asked her about her beliefs and her church and she mentioned how she's searching for the truth because she asked her pastor if their church was true and he said "No, we have some truths but not all the truth." Another highlight was at our dinner appointment. Elder Constant started laughing so hard at something that was said and couldn't stop for two minutes during our message and then it made everyone else laugh as well.
Thursday was wedding day for one of our friends. We went to their wedding and then headed off to lessons. After one lesson they invited us to stay and eat and Elder Neilson looked at me and I was just like "Yes!!!" They filled my plate up and after seeing how much they put on my plate Elder Neilson said "I'm feeling a little sick, I don't think I can eat that much." While that sentence might have not been entirely true it was a smart decision as I was fighting a Kanak Attack for the rest of the day. Had a family home evening with a Mami and her daughters family. While we were waiting for the daughters family to show up the happened to have an Ukulele and we started jamming out for almost an hour.
Friday we had our last District Council for the transfer. Sang God Be With You Till We Meet Again, and said Aloha 'oe to Elder Buchin since we knew he was gonna leave and then to Sœur Paul since she's headed home. Had a few other lessons and when to our Bishops sons birthday party and ate great food and an amazing cake. Then we proceeded to eat even more at our dinner appointment 10 minutes later.
Saturday we had three sessions of General Conference and got to hear some wonderful talks and had a Baptism for a young boy we've been teaching. We also had transfer calls. Me and Elder Neilson will be staying together in Taharaa.
Spiritual Thought:
In Matthew 6:34 it reads "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Focus on today; and the problems and worries of today because if you think too much about tomorrow and the future you're just going to add too much unnecessary stress in your life. Have faith that tomorrow will be better and that everything will work out for with faith you can see miracles.
