πŸ• + 🍚 = πŸ˜‹

Aloha mai!!!!

We had an amazing week filled with with a whole bunch of little miracles. We ate a whole bunch of good food and we also had our zone conference and stake conference. We also had a little goodbye party since Elder Masaniai and I are leaving Hao πŸ€™πŸ½

Highlights:

- We ate dog and it was amazing!!!! We were sitting in sacrament and the papie was just like, "I got it". He wasn't lying, and we pulled up to their big family gathering and there was a huge pot of dog. The buggah tasted like beef. You could definitely make one mayjah beef broccoli but switch the beef out for dog and add a side of hot rice. Of course we had fish, cake, chicken and steak, along with pizza to accompany the dog. That morning the papie also had us over for breakfast and we ate the biggest fishes ever for breakfast and it absolutely filled us up.

- We taught the young women in the ward some Hawaiian introduction, little phrases as well as the part of the body doing head shoulders knees and toes. We then chanted for them KΕ« Kalaheo and showed them the video with all the Hawaiian artists singing KΕ« Ha'aheo. We pull up to our branch presidents house the next day for dinner and his daughter was chanting it. Turns out she loved it so much she had to learn it for herself before they go to Hawaii this upcoming year. /// Cheever catch the tahitians protesting on mauna Kea this upcoming fall πŸ˜…

- We went to someone's house and their almost three year old baby is soooo chunky. It's amazing his bones are so dense or something and he's so big and cute that every time he runs it's like the ground is shaking a little and you can hear every footstep he takes. It's literally amazing.

- We went to a little (big) cultural celebration that the elementary school put on. All the elementary kids danced and played traditional tahitian instruments. It was sooo cool and pretty much the entire island showed up to support. Literally everything was closed after mid day because everyone was prepping their children's costumes.

- We got news last week Monday that we would be heading back to tahiti a week before the transfers for Elder masaniai's my plan and we would be staying there through transfers because president is closing our sector since there isn't too many missionaries coming in this next transfer.

- We had zone conference this past week over zoom and president had me do one last roleplay like thingy and I ended up talking about baptism in tahtian and inviting everyone to be baptized July 14th

- We left the house after our zone conference and saw two kids fighting. One guy was getting absolutely licked. After that we go walk by the other spot and we saw two little kids going at it. The fight wasn't even though because there was this little boy getting thrown around by this girl who was a whole lot bigger than him. Buggah had to be on one to think he could've won. Word spread about the fight and we ended up watching a little replay some kid took with the family we were eating with since it was the talk of the town.

- Ate an entire tub of mango / li-hing mui sorbet one evening

- We had stake conference and talked about ministering to each other along with the importance of doing missionary work.

Lowlights;

- We are leaving Hao today and idk the next time I'm going to come back :(

Spiritual Thought:

A little scripture I like that perfectly sums up the importance of prayer...

Alma 37:37 "Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."

"Mata'i haumaru e moana mania"

"Fair winds and following seas"
