Time to Shine!!!! ✨

Alohaaaaa,  We had a pdetty fire week filled with a split, boat rides and a lot of biking in-between. We got to go to Tahiti for zone conference and we also saw many little miracles every day.  Highlights: - Had the opportunity to do a little exchange with Elder Miller another missionary also from Oahu. We started the exchange Monday evening and that same evening we had a lesson and then a canceled dinner appointment so we ended up stopping at this other place for food. We had a packed day filled with many lessons and we ended up doing so much biking.  - The water guy came and dropped off some water as soon as we finished the last drop. It was a miracle because normally he comes every two weeks but this past time he didn't come for an entire month. - We had an amazing lessons with one of our friends. We started talking about the word of wisdom and why we don't drink or do other things as members and he was ready to change. He had also been reading in the book of mormon an...

Kaoha nuiiiiiiiii!!!!

Kaoha nuiiiiiiiii!!!! So when I thought we biked a lot last week we ended up biking even more this week, but likely our legs have gotten more and more used to it. We even decided to bike around the entire island and our kegs weren't as tired as we thought they would be, so that was a little tender miracle. We were also able to do a whole bunch of contacting and lessons this past week and didn't have too many fall through which was a blessing. Highlights: - Biked around the entire island and while doing so we stopped so often and got some sorbet and went looking around in various shops. It was also nice to do the island tour again just not going as fast because we weren't in a car this time - Went on an exchange with an elder who just barely got into the mission and he is absolutely powerful. Elder Cruickshank has such a powerful strong testimony and is able to handle all types of situations and knows all his lessons pretty well which is impressive being that he's been i...

Happy Mothers Day!

Image
Aloha, and Happy Belated Mother's Day!!!! It has been another week that has passed by within a blink of an eye. It has also been an extremely tiring week because it felt like we were biking non-stop and we were always on the move. Monday is finally here but the biking isn't stopping just yet! Highlights: - Christopher got baptized!!!! It was such a happy day especially because we started teaching him one of my first weeks in the sector so now it has become full circle. We took a photo after the baptism and it looks like I also got baptized because I was completely soaked... They had filled the baptism font all the way to the top and when Christopher got in the water was almost to his chin. When I took out the plug I almost had to dip my entire head under the water to reach down and get it out.  His grandpa also told him to make sure to take a deep breath before he went under so right as the baptism prayer finished he kind of jumped up gasped for air and then went under. He was ...

Aloha kakahiaka kakou, This past week was an absolute blast! We were able to get so much work done and we also saw a whole bunch of little tender miracles every single day. We also learned the importance of resting and recovering when you absolutely need it. Highlights: - We set a baptism date for one of our friends for June 22nd and we encouraged him and his girlfriend to start coming to church again. After we gave their newborn a blessing before they head of to Tahiti for a doctor's appointment  - We had a lesson with a different friend and felt prompted to invite him to be baptized and married on June 29th. We proposed the date and he was in shock because he wanted to get baptized and he and his girlfriend were also thinking about possible marriage dates and that was in their range. We explained to him how it was the spirit that led us to that date and we knew it was for a certain reason. We are hoping to hear his response when we see him again this week because we invited him t...
