Hoooo Howzit Boss!!!

Image
It's been a fun little week and the best part has to be the kids here. They will say so much random things and they absolutely do not have a filter on their thoughts. We were eating dinner and this one little girl comes up to us and is just like "So do you guys live near each other or something?" We were just like, "Yeah, we're brothers!" We got a "There's no way you're brothers... you're black (me) and he's white! (Elder Tingey)" Bless that little girl, but maybe it was just the pour lighting that made the little tan I have seem darker than it is. Highlights: - We went on a little waterfall hike last Monday and then celebrated Speur Latu's birthday at the chapel with some cake and ice cream. We also went to a place to eat that wasn't too far from the chapel. - We were out contacting because most our lessons on Tuesday got canceled and we met this one lady and she had a pitbull named princess who was anything but a princess....

Work, eat, sleep, repeat!

Alohaaaaaaa, Not too much this week, passed by pretty fast and slow at the same time, but we did eat a lot so that was nice Highlights: - We ate some pretty bomb pizza with our district and had a great time last p-day  - A member made us some poke along with a whole bunch of other food one night - We found someone who had taken lessons with the missionaries in the past and now is a little interested again.  - Met the sister of Frère Gamilous and Soeur Patricia, who lives over here in Moorea - There was a relief society party for all the sisters and we pulled up with a whole bunch of our friends and they loved it. We were able to setup like 4 or 5 lessons thanks to it.  - Another member made us some more oreo filled mochi and we straight up sounded that thing before our dinner appointment  - Got saluted by a whole bunch of kids as we were about to leave - We also started teaching more kids, so there entire neighborhood is just filled with cousins and when we first wen...

Alohaaaaaa nui loa kakou, This past week has been pretty chill. We started off by going and touring the Rotui factory (a juice and liquor factory here in Tahiti) and went around and just straight up acted like tourist in the other Elders sector. Transfer calls and transfer happened and me and Elder Tingey are staying together which is lit because that just means we get to grind some more together. Highlights:  - Me and Elder Tingey are staying together in Haumi  - Our district councils have been lit and we got another spiritual Giant in the district now... Elder Green! - Our members have been helping us like crazy with missionary work and are the literal definition of "If Can, Can". If they are available they are willing to help us out.  - We've had some pretty fire lessons and have been getting caught in the pouring rain a lot but it doesn't matter because we don't melt.  - We both wanted to try this pizza place after our dinner appointment got canceled and it wa...

Alohaaaa ko'u mau hoa!!!!  First off, Mahalo nui loa to each and everyone of you guys that have supported me throughout this time. Sorry, if I ever forgot to respond to an email you've sent, but just know I love you guys so much! I got a little over 4 months left in French Polynesia and I still think it's crazy I've been blessed to be amongst some of the greatest teachers!!! We had a super packed week that just flew by. It was pretty funny because me and Elder Tingey were talking and we were just in awe because last Monday felt like "sooo long ago" not because time passed by slowly but because every day was just so packed and had it's different aspects to it. One of the craziest highlights was the amount of member support we got this past week. From people just calling to ask if they can come to lessons to coming and visiting people with us. Highlights: - We went to the temple and cruised around papeete last Monday. Pretty sick because I got to see some of...
