Highlights: - We got to go to the temple as a zone last Monday and it was amazing! I even got to see some missionary I haven't seen in over a year so that was pretty cool.  - Had a bunch of lessons like usual, but this time all of the members that would usually come with us where too busy so we didn't have a whole bunch of members at the lessons which was a little sad. - We had another baptism this past Thursday!!! The spirit was so strong and when she went up to bear her testimony she had 4 pages front and back written out and everyone was just like woaaaaah - Had to say goodbye to a whole bunch of friends because they haven't been progressing too much - We had interviews with President and I finally got to give him another hug after 6ish months - Ate traditional Tahitian food with our ward and there was more people at the ward event then their usually is at church. Food really does work wonders in gathering people here. - We were waiting for church to start and I hear som...

Ka-ooooo-haaaaa nuiiiiiiiiii,  This past week had to have been one of the fastest but also longest weeks ever. It was only Wednesday and Elder Record was already so surprised at home much we had got done and kept thinking things we did just the day before actually happened a week before. Highlights:  - We had a crazy amount of lessons this past week and 10 of them were with members present like whaaaaat!!!! - Ate with members 6 times this past week, up from a solid 1 time the week before so that was nice - We found five new friends!!! - Had an amazing district council and talked about a talk called "The Faith to Baptize" and ended up connecting it to sailing and also to our own personal lives and how we can't just be content doing the things we're doing rather we need to push ourselves to be better and trust in the lord at the same time. We showed up to a lesson the next day and two of the boys there were like, "We want to get baptized and we already chose dates...

Kaoha nuiiiiiii, The subject line was actually a title of one of my journal entries this past week. One of my old comps would also say, "ENVOYEZ" and he kinda got me hooked now I sy "ENVOYONS" all the time or basically "SEND IT". This past week definitely lived up to that and we came home every night absolutely dead.  Highlights: - Found 3 new friends in 30 minutes of going door to door but this time we followed the spirit and it led us to specific people. Pretty cool because a couple minutes before my comp was like "it's dead here. I'm pretty sure the other missionaries already tried talking to these people".  - Went and visited some inactive members and ended up seeing a few of them at church.  - Became good friends with all the kids in this one neighborhood - Saw a member from Bora who's now here for highschool, pretty cool and we talked for a bit to catch up - Saw a whole bunch of pretty sunsets - Visited a family and they just ha...

Just a Hop, Skip, and Jump away

It's been a packed week and I would like to start the email off by saying I made it to Faaa! Well, kinda... For all the Elders that wished Faaa on me, (Elder Spencer)... Our house is in the zone of Faaa but im actually in the area of Punauia in an area called Outumaoro. My area is a whole lot smaller than Nuku Hiva. We have roughly 8 streets/neighborhoods and that it. Somehow we happen to have choke lessons. We've planned at least four or five lessons everyday and since we walk everywhere we are able to do so much contacting. In the few days I've been here We've already had seven lessons that members were present at which is huge because member lessons are the driving force, they are like a friend in the church for the friend we are teaching. The area itself isn't the best and there's quite a bit of sketchy people, kinda makes me think of Helelua in Nanakuli back at home. We've got quick a bit of drug houses, there's a few dealers who camp out right belo...
