When it Rains, It Pours...

Iaorana to'u mau hoa, A little recap of this past week. We'll, it's basically in the subject line, that's the recap. We did a little, what we thought was going to be a hike to a waterfall but it turned out to be a few minute walk on this path to a waterfall. Not that bad but we were hoping for a bit more exercise or at least me and my companion were looking forward to it.  Some highlights: - Had a lesson / dinner appointment with one of our friends and at the end they started making crepes. I wasn't expecting it and neither was my companion but I ended up downing four after being pretty sure I couldn't eat anymore. They almost got me and Elder Neilson convinced to buy a Crepe pan and spatula and start making crepes for breakfast lunch and dinner at our house. We taught about faith and the trials that we face in our life. - Lesson got canceled... because of the rain and work. It's weird for the most part when it rains here people cancel their lessons. Le Meilleur Capitaine De Cette Vie

Iaorana I teie Po'ipo'i ia tatou: Highlights from this past week: - We played an Easter egg hunt/capture the flag combo. We would go into another District area and try and find the candy they hid and get their flag which was on someone. The trick was everyone had socks dipped in water and you were trying to pelt the other missionaries at the same time. Needless to say our district won and got the other districts flags. - Emotional Resiliency who?... Our Mission President has found that it's really important for the missionaries in this mission to become more emotional resilient and self reliant. Now we gather every Tuesday for a couple hours and talk and follow this program. It's pretty solid and we already did a whole lot of it through school but at the same time a lot of missionaries come out without any direction in life so it's a good program to help them develop their own "Voyage Plan". - After our emotional resiliency class we got some food as a dist...

Happy Easter!!!!

This week was filled with a whole bunch of miracles. We started off the week (Tuesday) by doing a little contacting in this small neighborhood. We pulled in the street hit a dead end and were like oh no there's a bunch of people looking at us. I got out of the car and was like, "Hey does Moana live here?" To my surprise there was a Moana that lived in the neighborhood. He wasn't home but in the short hour we were in the neighborhood we were able to meet three inactive families and set up lessons with two new friends. We were walking past this one house and these girls were like "You guys are beautiful", to which I responded "No lie ah, For tell the truth".  The night before (monday night) we got back from our dinner and I started cutting my hair in the bathroom. All went well until it came to the back, were I couldn't see. I asked my comp if he cut hair before and he was like "Yeah, no worries brah I got you". Turns he's never cut...

Sun is Shinning, The Weather is Sweet...

Aloha kakahiaka ia Kakou, The sun was shinning this week, but I don't know if the weather was sweet just like the Bob Marley song.  We went to the Temple last Monday and did a little hanging around town since Elder Constant had to get some passport pictures taken. It was so funny because we ended up seeing 20ish other missionaries just hanging around the market and we started laughing and talking story. Even got to see some Elders that came out the same time as me which was sick because I hadn't seen them since our first day in Tahiti. Had a split with Elder Constant on Tuesday and there was absolutely no dull moment with him. When we went to go pick him up he was cleaning their place like crazy because they were getting inspected. I told the other Elders in our house about the inspection going on and they started cleaning our house like crazy as well. Mmmmmm a clean house, there's nothing quite like it. We had a few lessons that day. One with this lady who was absolutely g...
