Hooooo Brah... Stay Hot Ahhh???
Brah not gonna lie this past week the temperature was absolutely killer. This past Sunday we got home from church ate and started doing some studies and were straight shweating (Sweating so much you gotta include one H). The weather app was calling it 96 degrees but inside our house was even hotter, pretty sure we were breaking 100 degrees in there. Me and Elder Van Drimmelen downed 2 1/2 Gallons of water that day.
On Wednesday I hit six months being a missionary which is crazy because it literally feels like I was surfing just yesterday, time is flying by so fast. We had a few lessons in Reo Tahiti and the spirit was insanely strong. My companions tongue was loosened and started speaking fluently for a couple minutes and it left the Papi contemplating for the rest of our lesson.
Saturday we went on splits. It was me and Elder Stewart in his sector. Started off the morning with a Tahitian lesson and then visited some of their friends and other members in their ward. We saw this cool abandoned water catchment basin went to check it out and then the property owners ended up coming. They said hello and then we're like "You're standing on a old American Bunker, Wanna go check it out?" It ended up being a huge ammunition bunker barried in the ground. Did a whole lot more contacting and pretty much just biked all over their sector.
Got transfer news!!! Headed off to Mahina/Arue area on Tahiti this week. Pretty sick, I think the chapel is near the ocean and some members in my ward said there's some surfing spots near there so gotta scope um out for after the mission while biking between lessons.
Sunday, we'll Sunday was killer like mentioned at the beginning it was so hot and we were straight dying. The humidity with long pants doesn't work. We're out here sweating through our pants just sitting down. Biked all over the place visited some friends and members and had some lessons. Walked up this one hill hit a dead end and thought there would be an insane view near the top. We ended up doing this mini hike that went straight up. We got to the top and I was like, "Elder this was so worth it!" To which my companion said, "Elder Ellis your crazy we just got all cut up and have needles in us, this was not worth it". It was definitely worth it in my opinion just check out the Google Photo's.
Thought:
What makes you rich? If you really think about it it's not about how much you earn that makes you rich, but rather its about how much save.
What makes you a Christian, Catholic, etc? One could say that just saying you're a religion makes you a member of that religion but it's more than that. It's not about what you teach or preach that makes you something, but rather what you practice.
All Aloha my friends, hope you're staying cool and you have a great week! Check out the Google photos for more crazy things!
