Alohaaaaa!!! We had a pretty great week filled with work, lessons, service and sickness. Most importantly we enjoyed every minute of it πŸ€™πŸ½. We even had some pretty funny moments during our dinner appointments. Oh and Heitearii from my old sector on Moorea got baptized!!!!  Highlights:  - Started off the week doing a fire role-play in our district council. I was happily the friend and had a little fun by telling the other missionary they could come to my church instead of going to theirs and also that I already had a Bible so I didn't need another one. A very common occurence here iin French Polynesia. - Woke up at 4:30am because I thought we were getting wet. It turns out we were actually getting wet. It sounded like there was a hurricane outside and our windows were open to let the cool breeze in but it ended up soaking our entire bathroom from the ceiling to floors as well as part of the floor in our living space. We ended up mopping up and closing our windows and then hap...

Kura Ora!!!! Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Hope everyone had a great week, we had a great week here on Hao learning, laughing and loving. We talked to a some old mamie and papies about the bombing the French did here and it took me back to Hawaii and the bombing the united states did on Kahoolawe. We talked about the effects these things had on our ecosystems and we even talked about Hawaiian and tahitian gods and practiced and the monarchies (the kings /queens and warriors) and it was insane to see how much of the culture is so similar and shared across the pacific.  Highlights: - One of our friends invited us to join his companies tour in showcasing people that do and make different things on Hao this past Tuesday. We went to a vanilla farm, saw how some people filled fish, make pareo's and hats as well as she'll necklaces and other things. They even had one person that made pork hash and spring rolls. Not only did we fortify our relation with our friend b...

Kura Ora Katou!!!!!!! So let's just start off the email with some of the big blessings we saw this past week, one of these blessings has been RAIN!!! It hadn't rained in a fat minute and I was started to think we were going to start washing our clothes and showering in the ocean because we had roughly four inches left of water in our huuuuge water tanks. We went to sleep and I was awaken at like 3:30am because of hard rainfall. I quickly went to my knees and started pouring out my heart in gratitude towards Heavenly Father for this miracle we have to flush our toilets, do our laundry and take some showers for at least another week or so.... So keep praying for rain because we need all the prayers we can get. Highlights: - We started off the week by going and learning how to make some hats out of palm fronds.  - We spent our tuesday morning doing Copra with a mami and filled roughly 3 1/2 sacks. It was sick, I hadn't done any since our trip to Ua Huka over in the marquesis. ...

Alohaaaaa kakou!!!!! This past week has been so exciting!!! We started off the week by going to the temple which was a nice little spiritual recharge. We also got to see a whole bunch of missionaries which was really nice. Other than that we had a few lessons and I went around saying goodbye to people before I left for Hao this past Thursday. After sitting on a little airplane for 6 hours (because of stops to other atolls) I made it to Hao and it feels like I've traveled back in time. Life is cool, the people are so happy and even though they might be far away, they have so much Aloha. Oh , and my companion is another Elder also from Hawaii, Elder Masaniai who grew up in Laie and went to Kahuku! \m/ Highlights: - Spent a vast majority of our day on Tuesday saying goodbye to people. We also got to eat with the Tehaavi family one last time. They made an entire feast and we had Pizza, steak and fries, Poison Cry, and Salad with some desert. We also got Transfer calls that night and fo...
