Aloha kakou!!! Pretty solid week with some few key events! Highlights: - Started off the week by going on a pretty sick nature walk with the district. Wouldn't say it was too much of a hike because the thing was pretty fast just 30ish mins there and another 30 mins back. None the less it was pretty sick and it got everyone together to do something. - It has been crazy hot lately and we've been biking all over our sector lately. We've been chugging water like crazy and always end up showing up to lessons looking like a wet dog with a face of a tomato - We went to see one of our friends but he wasn't home then this other guy right next door invited us to come talk with his brother and their friend. The brother and friend were drinking and smoking while the other guy was just vibing and thinking about life. We talked about life. We ended up connecting the Bob Marley and UB40 music they were playing to a message about the gospel. It was also pretty nice hearing Kingston Tow...

Howzit Palalaz?!??? This past week has been absolutely crazy full of lots of phone calls, prayers, lessons and tahitian language study as a little stress relief. So the big thing this past week has been trying to do all the preparations we need to do for one of our friends getting baptized. The only trick is she wants to do it on Tahiti because all her family is over there.... Aiyaaaa, it's been a whole lot of work trying to coordinate with the missionaries and leaders in that area and we're just hoping everything goes smoothly because we can't make it.  Highlights: - I got sunburnt so bad. So the sun finally decided to come out after what was pretty much two weeks of Grey skies and rain. I had the bright idea to go outside and roll up my pants while doing my tahitian study and it was the worst idea ever. Came back in the house and now I got some solid red lines on my thighs because they were so white. Not looking forward to getting burned after the mission but hey, "G...

新年快樂! 🧧 Happy New Years!!!! Aka happy occasion to light more fireworks, celebrate long life and feed the lions 🦁   This entire past week has just been filled with so much rain it has been pretty crazy. So many of our lessons got moved to messenger video calls because of the weather and the cyclone that was hitting us 🌀. The heavy rain and strong winds definitely hit us and luckily it wasn't as strong as we thought it would be. The work continued and we also continued to get managing to get completely drenched ever single day. Highlights: - We were picking up our dinner from a family and then another family across the street was just like. "Haere mai tamaa orometua ma. A hopoi mai i ta orua maa, a amu i ta matou maa, e a haaputu i ta orua maa no ananahi" Eaha??? Te mau haamaitai I tera pō!!! Mauruuru te fatu no tera! Okay so the family across the street pretty much said, "Bring your guy's food over and just eat with us and save your food for tomorrow morning...

Finding Joy!!!

Alohaaaaaa Nuiiiiiiiii, We've made it! A full week has passed by in this amazing and beautiful new area and I have to say I'm falling in love more and more with every passing day. It might be a little crazy at times going back and forth killing our legs on the bikes or having to do some hikes to get to peoples houses for lessons but it's all better than being stuck in a city or a place with paved roads going everywhere and modern houses all around.  Highlights: - The week started off pretty chill, we got the district to go on a hike. A couple wrong turns were taken and our hike ended up becoming a little longer then we expected but it was all worth it when we got to the top - We had at least one member present at a lesson each day and they helped to share their own experience and really added a nice spirit to our lessons - Taught about the Word of Wisdom or why it's important to not drink coffee, alcohol, tea, smoke tobacco or other drugs and then one of our friends sto...
