Highlights:  - Went on a sick hike this past Monday to a little village called Anaho, you can only get there by boat or by hiking in. Sooo of course we chose to hike in because missionary rules won't let us take the boat. The sand reminded me of home and it had a super small deserted island/fishing village vibe. Made me think about all the Tahitians talking about Maupiti and how pretty it is. - Monday evening we got a call from an unknown number and they were just like, "Is Elder Ellis there?". We were like ummmm yeah, and then they just started talking and it took me awhile to figure out who it was but it was RAMON!!!! My old Ward Mission Leader on Bora Bora. Haha, his wife handed him the phone and he started of with ABOSHHH!!! Which is something he would always say and everyone knows him for that. We caught up and there was even some friends I had taught who were also with them which was so cool. Still don't know how they found out where I was and how they got our n...

This is the Life!!!

Aloha Kakou, It has been a pretty fire week filled with service on service with lessons and studies sprinkled here and there. We ate sooo much food this past week, a lot of lobster tail since people have been going diving in the bays, as well as a few meals of goat and shrimp, and some Hawaiian style poke along with Poisson Cru and too many cakes and other deserts!!! We also made more Haole Brownies again and our neighbor ended up eating that thing up and I had to tell him to watch out because those things are high in calories and then he ends up buying me more ingredients so I can make it for him again, ahaha. Highlights: - We were debating on getting eggs because it was $30 at one store so we were there for 30 minutes just staring in awe. Then we went to a few more stores and finally found eggs for our desert at $15, what a miracle! - Went to a waterfall last p-day, the nice thing is that you can drive almost all the way there and then you just walk for another 15ish minutes to the b...

Highlights: - We did the waterfall hike again but this time we didn't have the Papi with us to guide us through the off reading trail in the forest so what should been an hour drive time in the forest turned into an hour half drive time because we took a couple wrong paths. In my defense we did it over a month ago and along the trail it always splits into three different trails and it's like you have to pick the right one. Well, we made it and made it to the top of the humongous waterfall and Elder Hagen is still with us so that's a win. - Tuesday was pretty packed we had a lesson and he also brought a friend along with him which was amazing. After going back to the guy a few times and seeing different people there we've come to a conclusion that the guy is the neighborhood weed dealer but at the same time he is super open to talk and is insanely knowledgeable about the Bible which is so cool. We had a few more lessons that same day. - One of our friends sent us a messa...

Goats, Cows, Bulls, Pigs, and Mosquitoes

Kaoha nui ia outou, These past week has flown by like every other week over here. We spent a lot of time filling up water for our members as well as having lessons with friends of the church. In-between all of that we were dodging a lot of pigs, cows, goats, and horses. Almost took out a few pigs as they decided to dart out across the road in front of us. Later on in the week we honked at around 40 to 50 cows because they were in the middle of the road and they didn't want to let us pass, they just kept staring us down. I almost thought a few of the bulls were going to start charging the truck but luckily they didn't. There's been a whole lot of cars lately that haven't been on their side of the road even when they see us coming by which is kinda frustrating because they barely squeeze past you on the roads over here.  Highlights: - Filled up a lot of water for members - Ate a lot of Lemon Chicken (All the members here know how much I love it and they make it on the wee...
