Hawaii??!?

Alohaaaaaa, We started off the week doing one last hike with the district before I left and it had never felt hotter. We did the same hike my first transfer but a few months later they decided to clear most of the land and all the areas that were once nice and shaded were clear and super hot but that didn't phase us and we still continued no matter how sweaty we were getting.  We had a whole lot of lessons and our schedule was absolutely packed. Normally if you're getting transferred you move on Tuesday but my replacement wasn't coming till Thursday so I got to stay a few extra days which was really nice and allowed me to spend just a bit more time with my Bora Bora Ohana.  Not gonna lie saying goodbye was really hard and I ended up straight crying at a Mami and Papis house because we had been teaching them for the past four and a half months and I had gotten so close with them and the rest of their family.  Got to Tahiti, and learned I'm in a car!!! Cheeeeee A/C has ne...

Hooooo Brah... Stay Hot Ahhh???

Brah not gonna lie this past week the temperature was absolutely killer. This past Sunday we got home from church ate and started doing some studies and were straight shweating (Sweating so much you gotta include one H). The weather app was calling it 96 degrees but inside our house was even hotter, pretty sure we were breaking 100 degrees in there. Me and Elder Van Drimmelen downed 2 1/2 Gallons of water that day. We started off the week with a tour of the island from one of our friends, and this time it was in a car which was soooo nice because last time we were on bikes and kinda missed a lot of the views because we were so tired. On Wednesday I hit six months being a missionary which is crazy because it literally feels like I was surfing just yesterday, time is flying by so fast. We had a few lessons in Reo Tahiti and the spirit was insanely strong. My companions tongue was loosened and started speaking fluently for a couple minutes and it left the Papi contemplating for the rest o...

We Go Surf!

This we absolutely flew by, I know I say that about every week but it's true and so many miracles have happened. Miracles only come as a result of our faith. The stronger and more developed our faith is, the more Heavenly Father can work miracles throughout our lives. Not only can he work miracles but we can even receive answers to our prayers. We started of the week with a 2 1/2 hour lesson in straight Tahitian it was so sick I understood so much and the member that was supposed to come with us ended up not being able to make it so the gift of tongues and interpretation of tongues really came in clutch in helping us through that lesson understanding their questions and being able to explain things in a way they could understand.  Had a few more lessons and did a lot of contacting throughout the day. After I had the feeling we needed to go to the end of our sector we got almost to the end and I felt like we needed to head right to the point. We got to the point tried to visit this ...

Bora the Bike Eater!!!

Image
Aloha kakou, It's been a really fun fast past week. We started off the week by eating at one of the hotels here and taking a tour of the hotel property and the bungalows which were sick. They even have these coffee tables made out of glass and you can open up the top and it goes straight into the water. Bring a pole and you could be fishing while watching shows at any point in the day! Highlights: - Bora Bora ate another bike. We had two lessons in the morning went back to our place to eat and do studies and then headed off because we had six more lessons later on in the day. We made it up this one hill that's super steep and has a lot of loose rock and dirt and then when we attempted to turn and I shifted into a easier gear my bike lost it! The detailer was shot and it looks like someone got mad and straight up twisted it. It’s sad but also pretty funny because the bikes they give us definitely aren't the sturdiness so we end up Frankensteining bikes together. We called fo...
